Developed in the open
did:webplus was designed with, and reviewed by, the decentralized identity community. Here’s where the work happens and how to join it.
Talks and deep dives
Two deep-dive presentations at the DIF DID Methods Workgroup cover the method’s design in detail:
The people who made it better
Open review left fingerprints all over this method, and we like it that way. Spherity, fellow DIF member, provided extensive ergonomics and interoperability testing feedback in the OCI context. Juan Caballero edits the specification. Zkred built and published the first TypeScript implementation, conformance-testing it against the published examples. The DIF Identifiers & Discovery and DID Methods working groups reviewed the design from early drafts through the recommendation process. Design context came from across the community, including implementers’ handling of the under-documented versionTime behavior in the W3C DID ecosystem.
